The economy should be a wholly-owned subsidiary of the natural world, with Mother Nature as the primary stakeholder.
We currently have it in reverse, where the Natural World is seen as a free resource, and business as usual pays little attention to any messages from Mother Nature.
We believe (and actually, it’s a fact, not a belief!) that every Earthling needs four things to thrive; clean water, nutritious food, safe places to rest and play, and a deeper connection to others.
It is also a fact to say that the monetisation of those things is completely artificial.
We cannot live without water, but we could all live without money.

Without a safe and habitable home planet there will be no economy, no GDP, no growth. It’s either the billionaires, or the rest of us.
The future is one where every Earthling has enough, where extraction and consumption and hoarding has been eradicated, and where we are all thriving in harmony.
Every Earthling needs to have sufficiency, of water, food, safety, and love. Too many of us do not have those things.
This is the work.
Where we can opt out of consumerism, we must. And we need to survive long enough to make it through the inevitable transition to what comes next.
We need to keep cranking the handles to feed the machine, until the machine collapses.
